Math Tutor
About the role
Huntington Learning Center helps students achieve academic success through personalized tutoring and test preparation. We support students in grades 6-12, focusing on closing the COVID-19 gap, re-engaging in education, and achieving goal test scores.
Responsibilities
- Teach students in a 1-to-1 setting or in small groups of up to 4.
- Develop and implement individualized programs for each student.
- Support classroom skill development, homework help, subject tutoring, and ACT/SAT test prep.
- Work flexible, part-time hours during school year: Monday-Thursday 2-8:30pm; Saturdays 8am-2pm. Summer hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-7pm; Saturdays 9am-3pm.
Requirements
- A 4-year degree from an accredited university/college is required.
- Math: Must be able to teach at minimum Geometry/Algebra 2, with Statistics, Trigonometry, and Calculus highly desired.
- Sciences: Must be able to teach at minimum honors/AP level Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or other sciences, with college-level highly desired.
Qualifications

Skills
Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
