Materials Lab Technician - 2nd Shift

Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies, a joint venture between Freudenberg and NOK Corp., headquartered in Plymouth, MI, operates over 20 facilities and employs about 4,700 people across the Americas. This position is located in LaGrange, GA.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing of Production and Import O-Rings and assesses them according to standards
• Performs quality inspection and testing on incoming raw materials and assesses them according to standards
• Review and edit procedures, work instruction, and forms
• Mixes Lab Batches and prepares unmolded rubber for lab molding
• Molds and prepares test specimens for testing
• Performs all standard material testing
• Verification of calibration of testing equipment
• Ordering of supplies and equipment for laboratory work
• Completes other duties assigned by the Sr. Chemist / Materials Development Manager

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED
• Must be computer literate in Excel, Word and Power Point
• Must be organized and have good oral and written skills
• Basic Mathematic, calculation and problem solving skills
• Must have attention to detail, be willing to comment on issues, and take responsibility for decisions
• Must work well with other people and as a team
• Must be able to work without direct Supervision
• Must be versatile and adaptable
• Must be able to lift 15kg continuously throughout the day and up to 25kg occasionally
