Material Technician, 2nd Shift, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm

About the role

Majestic Steel USA is seeking a Packager (Material Technician) to join their production team on 2nd shift. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all materials are handled with precision, care, and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Packaging Materials: Review order instructions, label and package materials to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Operating Equipment Safely: Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, tape guns, and banding equipment.
• Maintaining Quality and Safety: Identify and report any damage or quality issues and advocate for safety by adhering to guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment.
• Supporting Team Efforts: Work collaboratively with production crew to meet assigned goals and complete additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimal manufacturing and/or warehouse experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to operate assigned equipment safely, and effective communication skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, mount & dismount equipment, capable of walking, climbing, and bending for periods of time, and be comfortable working in hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of manufacturing and/or warehouse experience (desired but not required).
• Basic computer skills such as data entry and retrieval.

Pay

Salary Range: $18.75 - $22.00 an hour (DOE) could be eligible for more based on experience.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm, with overtime as required.
