About the role
This position provides support for HPP (High Pressure Processing) by moving product from the Warehouse and HPP production areas. The role operates in a wet and cold manufacturing facility with an average temperature of 32 degrees. Team members may come in direct contact with allergenic food ingredients as referenced by the FDA.
Responsibilities
- Utilize a manual pallet jack to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product and materials
- Use a forklift to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product and materials
- Perform inventory counts for accuracy and discrepancies
- Handle shipping and receiving duties as assigned
- Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, and putaway
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently
- Perform order filler and checker duties
- Maintain equipment and perform pre-operation checks according to policy
- Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 6 months of MHE (Material Handling Equipment) or stand-up forklift experience preferred
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems
- Refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to perform basic mental math
- Ability to communicate in English (speak, read, and write)
- Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions
- Operates in a wet and cold environment (average temperature of 32 degrees)
- Requires standing for 8 to 10-hour shifts
- Involves repetitive bending, twisting, and lifting
- Regularly lifts 45 lbs. and rarely up to 75 lbs.
