About the role

This position provides support for HPP (High Pressure Processing) by moving product from the Warehouse and HPP production areas. The role operates in a wet and cold manufacturing facility with an average temperature of 32 degrees. Team members may come in direct contact with allergenic food ingredients as referenced by the FDA.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a manual pallet jack to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product and materials
  • Use a forklift to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product and materials
  • Perform inventory counts for accuracy and discrepancies
  • Handle shipping and receiving duties as assigned
  • Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, and putaway
  • Operate vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Perform order filler and checker duties
  • Maintain equipment and perform pre-operation checks according to policy
  • Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 6 months of MHE (Material Handling Equipment) or stand-up forklift experience preferred
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems
  • Refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to perform basic mental math
  • Ability to communicate in English (speak, read, and write)
  • Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions

  • Operates in a wet and cold environment (average temperature of 32 degrees)
  • Requires standing for 8 to 10-hour shifts
  • Involves repetitive bending, twisting, and lifting
  • Regularly lifts 45 lbs. and rarely up to 75 lbs.
