Material Technician III - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Performs material handling to support manufacturing/packaging operations, shipping and receiving.
• Moves material to and from warehouses, shipping and receiving areas.
• Operates UPS equipment, ships labels, and follows international and domestic shipping procedures.
• Handles customer-specific requirements for shipping and receiving.
• Trains in and performs multiple work assignments.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Weighs, counts, packs, places parts into storage, removes parts from storage, marks information according to customer requirements.
• Receives general instruction for Work Group Leader or Material Tech II.
• Moves components and finished goods throughout the plant.
• Uses computer to locate stock, retrieves, identifies stock availability, performs computer transactions to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Reports production, performs cycle counts, follows prescribed procedures for preparing reports, complies with QS 9000 procedures.
• Calibrates scales to ensure accurate counts, identifies when periodic maintenance is required on equipment, reviews load sheets for stock availability, sets up and tracks shipments to customers as needed, maintains accurate files to trace shipments and receipts.

Qualifications

• PAY RATE IS $24.36/HOUR - HOURS 5AM TO 3PM TUE.-FRI.
• Must have computer, reading/writing English skills, math skills.
• Must pass or hold STRATTEC operator driver's license for power driven vehicles.
• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
