Material Handler - Twinsburg

About the role
This Day shift position in the ThermoDrive Manufacturing Department (Twinsburg, OH) reports to the ThermoDrive Manufacturing Manager. The Material Handler moves raw materials and finished goods to designated areas and operates material grinders.
Responsibilities
- Separate and sort plastic sheets
- Box, label, and weigh inventory
- Follow grinding schedule
- Load material into grinder and grind into pellet form for reprocessing into sheet form
- Tear down, break down, and clean grinding machine
- Stage material for upcoming jobs
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management
- Training includes additional production floor duties to understand all positions and processes
Previous extrusion experience and knowledge of the plastic sheet extrusion process is a plus.
Requirements
- Forklift driving experience
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to retain information
- Mechanically inclined
- Proficient at basic math
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Clear communication with co-workers
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience using hand tools (hammers, circular saw, table saw, band saw, nail gun)
- Able to multitask and self-organize
- Experience in a general warehouse setting
- Follow written safety procedures
- Regular and punctual attendance
Previous extrusion experience and knowledge of the plastic sheet extrusion process is a plus.
Schedule
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, plus one weekend per month.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
