About the role

Remove bearings from second-hand wheel sets, document wheel set size and type on QA form, perform minor cleaning of wheel sets in preparation for the wheel qualifying operator, palletize and disposition using a forklift, and move material within the shop using a forklift. Additional functions may be required to meet efficiency goals for the shift.

Responsibilities

• Remove bearings from second-hand wheel sets
• Document wheel set size and type on QA form
• Perform minor cleaning of wheel sets
• Palletize and disposition wheel sets using a forklift
• Move material within the shop using a forklift
• Perform other functions as needed to meet shift efficiency goals

Requirements

• Forklift experience (certification a plus, but will train on-site)
• Willingness to train in several areas of the shop as needed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to cross-train at other stations
