Location: Covington, GA • Duration: 12 months • Hours: 40/week • Pay: $16–20/hr • Schedule: 1st shift, Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
About the Role
This contract W2 position performs warehouse and material-distribution tasks for a medical-device company. US citizenship or Green Card required.
Responsibilities
- Unload inbound trucks (inter-company deliveries, vendors, etc.)
- Load outbound trucks (inter-company shipments, off-site warehouse, etc.)
- Locate and retrieve products and replenish picking locations using FEFO methodology
- Move pallets on dock
- Physically stack/transport product from larger sterilization pallet to regular pallet before moving by forklift to dock
- Ensure all assigned duties are safely completed in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and procedures
- Maintain an acceptable work area as outlined in GMPs
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP
- Prioritize safety and adhere to proper operating practices and procedures to prevent injuries and illnesses
- Perform warehouse-associate duties as required
- Train new hires on RF functions
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience on Cherry picker and/or Reach lift
- Licensed to operate material-handling equipment
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment
- Good concentration and alertness
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good basic math skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in written and oral form
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities
- Safety shoes required
Physical Demands
- Regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, reach, push/pull, grasp, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type (may include repetitive motion of wrists, hands, or fingers)
- Occasionally climb
- Lift over 50 lbs in some areas
Work Environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, and extreme weather conditions (hot in summer—no AC; cold in winter—limited heating)
- Occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles
- Moderate to loud noise level
