Material Handler (Must Have Reach/Turret Forklift, Lift Cherry Picker) -3rd Shift 8 PM - 6.30 AM

12-month contract position on W2; US Citizens or Green-Card holders only.

About the role

This position performs warehouse and material distribution tasks, including receiving and shipping product, and moving inventory by operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound trucks (inter-company deliveries, vendors, etc.)
• Load outbound trucks (inter-company shipments, off-site warehouse, etc.)
• Locate and retrieve products as well as replenish picking locations using FEFO methodology
• Move pallets on dock
• Physically stack/transport product from larger sterilization pallet to regular pallet before moving by forklift to dock
• Ensure all assigned duties are safely completed in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and procedures
• Maintain an acceptable work area as outlined in GMPs
• Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP
• Prioritize safety and maintain safe working conditions by adhering to proper operating practices and procedures
• Perform warehouse associate duties as required
• Train new hires on RF functions
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance at work

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Experience on Cherry picker and/or Reach lift
• Licensed to operate material handling equipment
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment
• Must be able to concentrate and be on alert at all times
• Must be able to work well with others
• Good verbal communication skills
• Good basic math skills
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities
• Safety shoes required for position

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, reach, push/pull, grasp, hear, twist, and lift
• Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type, which may include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, or fingers
• Occasionally required to climb
• May require lifting over 50 lbs in some areas but not all

Work Environment

• Exposure to work near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions: hot in summer months (no AC) and cold in winter months (limited heating)
• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment

Pay

$16–20 per hour

Schedule

Third shift: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Monday through Thursday
