Location: Covington, GA • Duration: 12 months • Hours: 40/week • Pay: $16–20/hr • Shift: 3rd (8:00 pm – 6:30 am, Monday–Thursday) • Employment type: W2 contract (US citizens or Green Card holders only)
About the Role
This position performs warehouse and material-distribution tasks, including receiving and shipping product. Operators will spend no more than two hours per ten-hour shift on a stand-up forklift; the remainder of the shift involves continuous standing, walking, and use of RF devices.
Responsibilities
- Unload inbound trucks (inter-company deliveries, vendors, etc.).
- Load outbound trucks (inter-company shipments, off-site warehouse, etc.).
- Locate and retrieve products and replenish picking locations using FEFO methodology.
- Move pallets on dock.
- Physically stack or transport product from larger sterilization pallets to regular pallets before moving by forklift to dock.
- Complete all assigned duties safely and on time in accordance with department standards and procedures.
- Maintain work area per Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
- Prioritize safety and adhere to operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Perform general warehouse-associate duties as needed.
- Train new hires on RF functions.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating a cherry picker and/or reach lift.
- Licensed to operate material-handling equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment.
- Ability to concentrate and remain alert at all times.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Problem-solving ability and adaptability to shifting priorities.
- Safety shoes required.
Physical Demands
- Regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, reach, push/pull, grasp, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type—including repetitive wrist, hand, or finger motion.
- Occasionally climb.
- Lift over 50 lbs in some areas (not all).
- Stand and move for more than eight hours per shift.
Work Environment
- Near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places.
- Exposure to extreme weather: hot summers (no AC) and cold winters (limited heating).
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
