About the role
Warehouse/Material Handler responsible for warehouse and material distribution tasks related to receiving and shipping product in a medical-device distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders: scan bar codes, label boxes, pick product, and prepare packages for shipment.
- Palletize orders by scanning, retrieving, and placing completed orders on pallets.
- Re-palletize products for shipment.
- Operate dock manifest station: scan completed pallets and run shrink wrapper.
- Operate ground/manual manifest station as needed.
- Transport pallets using material-handling equipment, including reach and order-picker forklifts.
- Complete all assigned duties on time following departmental procedures and Quality System Regulations (QSR).
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety practices to prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in standard operating procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate ideas and business needs effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
- Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision.
- Experience operating material-handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, electric pallet jacks) and RF scanners.
- Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment.
- Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- General computer skills and distribution knowledge.
- Familiarity with Quality System Regulations (QSR).
- Good basic math and communication skills.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Pay
$16–$20 per hour.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (40 hours per week).
