Location: Covington, GA • Duration: 12 months • Hours: 40/week • Pay: $16–20/hr • Shift: 3rd (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) • Employment type: W2 contract (US citizens or Green Card holders only)
About the Role
Uses a variety of equipment—including forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks—to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a medical-device plant, office, or warehouse. May maintain records and follows clearly defined standard operating procedures and quality guidelines under general to limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply basic skills in material-handling tasks, techniques, and procedures.
- Complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps within one skill area or process.
- Operate RF scanners (training provided if needed).
- Obtain and maintain required licenses, training, or certifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Zero to one year of warehouse or related experience and/or training.
- Basic skills training in material handling, logistics, or manufacturing production.
- Effective communication skills; ability to read, write, interpret English documents, and perform basic math.
- Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment.
- General computer skills.
Physical Demands
- Regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, lifting, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
- Frequent use of hands for finger, handle, feel, pick, or type, including repetitive motion of wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Lifting and/or moving objects over 50 lbs.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibration.
- Occasional work in high or precarious places and exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Work environment is hot in summer (no AC) and cold in winter (limited heating); noise level is moderate to loud.
