About the role
Warehouse/Material Handler operating a reach/order-picker forklift in a medical-device distribution center. Two shift options:
- 1st Shift: Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 am–4:30 pm
- 3rd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 pm–6:30 am
Responsibilities
- Unload inbound trucks (inter-company deliveries, vendors, etc.)
- Load outbound trucks (inter-company shipments, off-site warehouse, etc.)
- Locate and retrieve products and replenish picking locations using FEFO methodology
- Move pallets on dock
- Physically stack/transport product from larger sterilization pallet to regular pallet before moving by forklift to dock (as required)
- Ensure all assigned duties are safely completed in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and procedures
- Maintain work area per GMPs and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent injuries and illnesses
- Perform warehouse-associate duties as needed
- Train new hires on RF functions
- Regular and reliable attendance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating a cherry picker and/or reach lift
- Licensed to operate material-handling equipment
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment
- Good verbal communication and basic math skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to shifting priorities
- Ability to work well with others
- Safety shoes required
Physical demands
- Regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, and frequent use of hands
- Occasional climbing
- Lifting over 50 lbs in some areas (not all)
Work environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places
- Extreme weather conditions: hot in summer (no AC), cold in winter (limited heating)
- Occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles
- Moderate to loud noise level
Pay
$16–$20 per hour • 40 hours per week
