Material Handler - 7 PM - 7 AM (Required Standup Lift Exp) Urgent Need

12-month contract on W2 for US Citizens or Green-Card holders only.

About the role

Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products or goods within a plant, office, or warehouse. May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area, process, or method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks
• Move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within the facility
• Maintain records as required
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines
• Perform tasks in a metrics-driven environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Zero to one year of warehouse experience or related experience and/or training
• Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production)
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents in English and perform basic math calculations
• General computer skills
• Obtain and/or maintain appropriate licenses, training, or certifications as needed

Skills

• Knowledge of RF Scanner (helpful but not required)
• Experience with material handling and management, logistics, or manufacturing production

• Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type, which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, or fingers
• Lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs
• Exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibration
• Occasional exposure to high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles
• Work environment is hot in summer months (no AC) and cold in winter months (limited heating)
• Noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud

Pay

$16–20 per hour

7 PM – 7 AM (3-2-2-3 rotating schedule)
