Material Handler - Urgent need (2:30PM - 10:30PM)

Location: Four Oaks, NC | Duration: 10 months | 40 hrs/week, 2nd shift (Mon–Fri 2:30 PM–10:30 PM) | Client: Medical Devices Company | Contract on W2 (US citizens, GC holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT) | Pay: $16.25/hr

About the role

Entry‑level material handler position in a climate‑controlled warehouse environment. The role involves stacking boxes, operating pallet jacks and RF scanners, counting cases, and using various material‑handling equipment to move products within the facility. Work is performed under clearly defined SOPs with general to limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Stack boxes and load/unload materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks
• Count selected cases and verify quantities
• Operate RF scanning devices for inventory tracking
• Maintain accurate records of material movements
• Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines
• Develop proficiency in basic material‑handling tasks and techniques
• Apply basic knowledge to complete routine, step‑by‑step assignments

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0–1 year of warehouse or related experience/training
• Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses, training, or certifications
• Basic skills in material handling, logistics, or manufacturing production
• Effective communication skills (read, write, interpret, and comprehend English documents)
• Basic math calculation ability
• Comfort working in a metrics‑driven environment
• General computer literacy

Physical demands

• Regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, lifting, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, talking, hearing, twisting
• Frequent use of hands for fine manipulation, repetitive wrist/hand/finger motion
• Lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme temperatures (hot summers without AC, cold winters with limited heating), vibration, occasional heights/precarious places, and fumes/airborne particles
• Moderate to loud noise levels

Pay

$16.25 per hour
