Material Handler - 1St (6:am - 2:30 pm)

Location: El Paso, TX • Duration: 12 months • Hours: 40/week • Pay: $16–20/hr • Shift: 1st (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) • Employment type: W2 contract

About the role

Entry-level contract position at a medical-device company. Steel-toed shoes are required.

Responsibilities

• Locate and store items, select proper packaging, determine methods for moving materials, and release materials according to procedures.
• Work independently with minimal supervision on routine tasks; handle moderately complex assignments where recognizing deviations from accepted practice is necessary.
• Prepare goods for final domestic and international shipment.
• Maintain accurate written and computerized logs.
• Perform receiving and/or distribution functions.
• Conduct cycle counts to ensure accurate inventories.
• Collaborate in a team environment, supporting team goals and objectives.
• Make effective decisions in line with position requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to safely operate all required equipment (sit-down and stand-up forklift experience preferred; operator license a plus).
• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
• Must be able to maintain continuous attention to detailed operations.
• US citizenship, Green Card, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT required.
