Material Handler - 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Deliver supplies, raw materials and component parts to the workstations or material racks in accordance with the Manufacturing Cadence.
• Ensure that finished goods are safely and efficiently transported to designated shipping or staging areas free from damage and properly handled to maintain quality.
• Identify, weigh, and tag scrap prior to transporting to the assigned area.
• Document daily recordkeeping and lot control as needed.
• Remove expired or non-applicable labels on returnables/totes/packaging/containers prior to use at workstation.
• Verify that the label matches the product being moved.
• Maintain all material handling supply equipment.

Requirements

• Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provides for individual growth.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions.
• Familiarity with FIFO (First In - First Out) protocols.
• Knowledge of safety equipment/procedures on all presses and machinery.
• Knowledge of lot control & lot control processes.
• Ability to pass the necessary testing to obtain a lift truck license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of operating an industrial forklift in a manufacturing facility.

Skills

• Operate an industrial forklift.

• Pay rate: $21/hr
• Shift: 3pm - 11pm
