Material Handler - 2nd Shift

About the role

This position is in our Shipping Receiving Department, reporting to the production supervisor and supporting the company’s production facility.

Responsibilities

• Receive, distribute, and store products in designated, secure locations.
• Verify, identify, and inspect incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods to ensure specifications are met, including documentation accuracy.
• Load materials and products into the inventory system; monitor First In – First Out inventory transactions.
• Confirm shipping details or special instructions; expedite shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
• Maintain quality control to prevent product damage.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods manually and/or using hand trucks, skids, and forklift.
• Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP, and other quality and safety programs.
• Collect and properly dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Good math skills.
• Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as needed with efficient time management skills.
• Physical requirements include consistently lifting, carrying, and climbing up to 60 lbs, as well as frequent bending, standing, walking, sitting, and climbing.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
