Master Level Supervisor | 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach | Part Time

Part-time position overseeing the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams (MCORT) in Union County. The team consists of Peer Support Specialists and Bachelor's Level Crisis Counselors.

About the role

MCORT provides 24/7 mobile community outreach services to adults in crisis, including mental health, substance use, and suicidal emergencies. Calls are dispatched through the 988 Suicide Crisis Lifeline Call Center. Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams help individuals de-escalate their crisis and access needed resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise direct care staff, including regular supervision, managing schedules, and addressing any performance issues.
• Review individual care plans developed by the staff to ensure appropriate level of care and clinically supported treatment plans.
• Evaluate staff productivity, documentation of service delivery, and billing.
• Be available for on-call clinical consultation or in-person case reviews to determine the most appropriate intervention or if a higher level of care is necessary.
• Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance as needed, and clinical oversight for day-to-day operations.
• Work with community referral sources and stabilization provider networks regarding case management and linkages to stabilization and aftercare services.
• Progress note review, crisis response decision making, and continuous staff development.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a mental health related discipline.
• Valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office products.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage crises.
• Exceptional writing and assessment skills.
• Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to make and maintain contacts and positive relationships with individuals who receive or have received mental health and/or substance abuse services.
• Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Lived experience dealing with mental health/substance use issues is valued.

Schedule

30 hours per week, benefit eligible. Current openings:

• Friday - Sunday: 5:00am - 3:30pm
• Friday - Sunday: 3:00pm - 1:30am

Additional schedules may become available based on program needs.

Pay

Hourly rate: $36.06
