Minimum Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Maryland State Massage Therapist license
  • Five years of working experience in the massage therapy profession
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
  • Follow written or oral directions
  • Work cooperatively
  • Work independently
  • Must have the strength to lift 45 lbs.
  • Able to move massage equipment

Teaching Experience Preferred

Class Specific Essential Duties

  • Provide didactic and clinical instruction in Massage Therapy, including classroom, laboratory, and clinical supervision assignments
  • Maintain Maryland Massage Therapy License/Certification
  • Work collaboratively to achieve departmental, divisional or institutional initiatives
  • Maintain scheduled availability to students
  • Carry out and supervise simulated and community outreach experiences
  • Monitor student progress in labs and clinical rotations
  • Follow established rules of the college and the accrediting body
