Adjunct Faculty, Massage Therapy (Practical Focus)
Job Description
Teaches a full range of lecture and lab credit courses of massage therapy theory, practice and clinical. Assists in the development of continuing education for students and accompany students to off-site activities or clinical.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a practicing licensed massage therapist with therapeutic as well as relaxation massage experience, licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio and eligible to teach massage theory and practice in the state of Ohio
- Ability and willingness to receive student massages in order to effectively and accurately evaluate their technique, methods, and professional conduct
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
- Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
- Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community
