Marketplace Strategy & Operations Manager
About The Team
Turo is entering an exciting new chapter of growth in the US, and we are looking for a Marketplace Strategy & Operations Manager to increase the leverage of our Marketplace Management and US business teams. This role combines analytical capability with strong program execution. You will serve as a centralized operator who converts data into action, running end-to-end initiatives and providing the diagnostics needed to drive performance across our regional markets.
What You Will Do
- Market Diagnostics & Analytics: Pull and manipulate data to identify drivers of underperformance and size new opportunities. You will be responsible for market-level insights and supporting the creation and evolution of the Weekly Business Review (WBR).
- Program Execution: Run discrete initiatives end-to-end, moving from analysis to planning, execution, and measurement. You will coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure follow-through and impact on key business priorities.
- Insight Generation & Recommendation: Build structured narratives and clear recommendations for regional leadership. You will support the team by framing problems, modeling tradeoffs, and preparing leadership-ready materials.
- Scalable Central Tooling: Build simple shared tools, templates, and playbooks to reduce duplication across regions. You will help convert regional wins into scalable processes that can be deployed across the US.
- Strategic Partnership: Serve as an analytical and strategic partner to regional teams, offloading synthesis tasks so GMs can focus on higher-order strategy.
Your Profile
- 5 - 7+ years of relevant experience (or 3 years + Master’s degree) in strategy, operations, analytics, or a related field.
- Strong Analytical Toolkit: Advanced fluency in Google Sheets/Excel and SQL required.
- Structured Thinking: Ability to break down ambiguous problems into actionable plans and guide others to clarity.
- Execution Oriented: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects independently, from problem identification through to execution.
- Communication: Skilled in building structured narratives and presentations; able to translate complex data into clear recommendations for leadership.
- Commercial Acumen: Understanding of how strategic decisions influence the P&L, growth levers, and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Demonstrates Turo’s values through work product and within day to day team interactions.
Bonus
- If You Have Direct Experience Working Within a Complex, Two-Sided Marketplace or Tech-Enabled Gig Economy Platform

Turo Recruiting Scam Alert
We’ve learned that there are scammers targeting job candidates by impersonating Turo and its employees. We ask candidates to be careful of fraudulent job postings or suspicious recruiting activity during their job search, especially if they’re contacted through unofficial channels (such as Instagram, Telegram, MS Teams, etc.). In general, Turo interacts with candidates through our Careers page and via turo.com email addresses, and we don’t ask candidates for sensitive financial or personal info or request money as part of the hiring process (so an application fee or equipment costs). If candidates are not sure whether they’re dealing with an impersonator, they can contact Turo’s Recruiting Team at recruit@turo.com. Candidates can also report suspicious activity to the FTC or other appropriate authorities.

These tools only supplement our team; all decisions to advance or hire candidates are made by Turo employees. While we welcome candidates to use AI-enabled tools to help prepare for their interviews, the use of such tools, including any AI chatbots or note-takers, is not permitted during live interviews or technical assessments. We want to see how you consider and solve problems in real-time, so interviews and assessments are all you (unless we indicate otherwise and ask you specifically to use an AI-enabled tool to answer a question).
