About the Opportunity

The organization is building the AI Workforce for contact centers, and its events are driving pipeline, landing important meetings, and making a significant impact. The company is seeking its first dedicated Marketing Events Manager to own and execute the entire event strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the event calendar across trade shows, conferences, and private/field events, determining what to do, where to show up, and why.

  • Tier events by opportunity and set clear goals for each (pipeline, meetings, brand).

  • Build the annual plan and playbooks to make each event repeatable and improved.

  • Cook with different departments to leverage team travel and optimize for in-person engagement with prospects and customers.

  • Own sponsorship strategy, booth presence, and all behind-the-scenes elements: contracts, shipping, staffing, and the run-of-show.

  • As the on-site lead, ensure smooth operations: setup, staffing, troubleshooting, and contingency planning.

  • Capture and qualify meetings on the floor to ensure no opportunities are missed.

  • Design and run executive dinners, roundtables, hospitality suites, and customer/user events that are memorable.

  • Manage the details that make small events feel exclusive: guest lists, venues, flow, and follow-up.

  • Partner with Sales to fill rooms with the right accounts.

  • Convert events into pipeline by partnering with Sales and BDRs on target-account lists, pre-event outreach, and on-site meeting-setting.

  • Own immediate post-event follow-up: segmented lists, timely outreach, and clear next steps for all attendees and no-shows.

  • Ensure efficient handoff so event leads are worked quickly and nothing slips through the cracks.

  • Manage event budgets responsibly.

  • Negotiate and manage venues, vendors, agencies, and contractors, holding them to a high standard.

  • Keep all events on budget without compromising essential elements.

  • Track event performance: pipeline sourced and influenced, meetings booked, and cost per opportunity.

  • Report results honestly and use them to improve future events.

  • Maintain clean event data in HubSpot for accurate routing, reporting, and follow-up.

  • Manage the HubSpot event section: registration, reminders, follow-up flows, and attribution.

  • Set up automations to streamline operations.

  • Ensure clean data for effective BDR follow-up and reporting.

  • Launch and learn quickly by testing new event formats, markets, booth ideas, and follow-up plays.

  • Adjust or double down on event types based on pipeline generation.

  • Lead initiatives such as user conferences or pop-up activations.

  • Drive pipeline and build the brand through innovative projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Approximately 3 to 5+ years in event marketing or field marketing, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.

  • Proven experience owning events end-to-end, from strategy and budget to on-site execution and post-event follow-up.

  • Extremely detail-oriented, with a keen eye for operational minutiae.

  • Genuinely excited to build and create from the ground up.

  • Experience working with Sales and BDR/SDR teams to convert events into meetings and pipeline.

  • Comfortable owning a budget and holding vendors, venues, and agencies to a high standard.

  • Calm under pressure, resourceful on-site, and adept at contingency planning.

  • Proficient with HubSpot and event/lead-capture tools, with the ability to interpret performance data.

  • Data-obsessed and results-driven, with a willingness to adapt strategies based on performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on a small events team (one to three people), where significant ownership and self-direction were required.

  • AI-Native Requirements: Building personal GPTs, agents, or custom workflows; utilizing AI to create event-related content; integrating AI into event operations for list segmentation, lead enrichment, personalization, and reporting; staying current with AI advancements from major providers and applying them effectively.

  • Bonus Points For: Experience with user conferences or developing a flagship event; hands-on ABM or intent-data experience for event targeting; building a personal brand or community in the marketing and events space.
