Marketing Director

About the Role
The Marketing Director is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and directing the facility's marketing, public relations, community outreach, and census development programs. This position builds and maintains strong relationships with residents, families, referral sources, healthcare providers, community organizations, civic leaders, and other stakeholders to promote the facility's services, strengthen its reputation, and support census growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive marketing and public relations strategies designed to maintain and increase facility census.
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, social workers, healthcare professionals, residents, families, referral partners, and community organizations.
- Identify and develop new referral opportunities and community partnerships.
- Promote the facility's services, programs, amenities, and unique qualities to prospective residents, families, referral sources, and the community.
- Coordinate facility tours and assist prospective residents and families with obtaining information regarding facility services.
- Develop and maintain accurate marketing materials, brochures, information packets, presentations, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
- Ensure all public information accurately reflects the services and programs provided by the facility.
- Coordinate community outreach events, facility events, networking opportunities, and promotional activities.
- Represent the facility at community events, healthcare networking events, civic organizations, professional organizations, and other appropriate functions.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with community and civic leaders.
- Develop strategies to improve the facility's visibility and reputation within the community.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and assist with the development, implementation, and tracking of satisfaction surveys.
- Review feedback from residents, families, referral sources, and community partners and make recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate internal communications related to marketing and public relations initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with Administration, Nursing, Activities, Social Services, Admissions, and other departments to promote facility programs and services.
- Assist with the development and promotion of resident activities, special events, community programs, and facility initiatives.
- Coordinate appropriate media communication regarding facility programs, events, promotions, and other noteworthy activities.
- Monitor local media and community developments that may impact the facility's reputation or operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee, and facility information and comply with applicable privacy requirements.
- Follow all facility policies and procedures regarding the release of information.
- Prepare and manage the department's marketing budget, subject to Administrator approval.
- Track marketing activities, referral relationships, outreach efforts, and results to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for growth.
- Provide regular marketing and census reports to the Administrator.
- Participate in facility committees and meetings as assigned.
- Assist with emergency communications and public relations activities as directed by the Administrator.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may have supervisory responsibilities and may oversee assigned marketing, outreach, or administrative personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Five (5) years of marketing and/or public relations experience in a healthcare setting may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, senior living, admissions, business development, or healthcare marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in community outreach, relationship development, sales, marketing, or census development.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting and computer use.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Frequent use of telephone, computer, copier, scanner, and other office equipment.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving of items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel within the community for meetings, networking events, marketing activities, and other business-related functions.
- Ability to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations when necessary.
Pay
Starting at $95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
