Marketing Content Leader
maybe under a generic heading? The instruction: do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. So we can include a
with that line. - Then description: "Content is a key element...". That's about the role. So we can have
About the role
with paragraphs. - Responsibilities: The bullet list under "What You'll Do". Those are responsibilities. So we can haveResponsibilities
with- items.
- Minimum Requirements: list: "8–10 years in content strategy/content marketing", "A track record of building full-funnel content strategies that drive demand", "Strong hands-on writing and editing across formats, from long-form reports to promotional copy." That's requirements. Could be under Requirements.
- Preferred Requirements: list: "5 years of people preferred leader experience." (maybe typo: "5 years of people preferred leader experience." Probably means "5 years of people leadership experience.") "A genuine excitement for AI and a hands-on track record of using AI tools to create better content, faster, plus the ability to upskill a team in AI-powered workflows." "Experience in B2B technology marketing and writing for an enterprise networking buyer." "Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, plus strong analytical and presentation skills." "Experience managing workflows and employees, contractors, and agencies in tools such as Asana and Workfront." These could be under Qualifications or Skills. The instruction: Use headings for sections like Qualifications, Skills. We need to decide where to put them. Probably Qualifications for preferred requirements, Skills for specific skills? But we can combine.
We also have "Why Cisco?" section: that's about company, not required but could be About the role? Might be considered "About the company". Not required headings; we could include as About the role or maybe as a separate section like "About Cisco". But only include headings if we have real content. Could add
About Cisco
but not in allowed list? The allowed list includes About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we should stick to those. "Why Cisco?" could be placed under About the role or maybe under a generic paragraph. Probably include in About the role. Then compensation: "Message to applicants applying to work in the U.S. and/or Canada: The starting salary range posted for this position is $196,300.00 to $248,700.00 ...". Also includes full salary ranges for certain locations: New York City Metro Area $196,300.00 - $286,000.00; Non-Metro New York State & Washington State $174,200.00 - $253,900.00. Also details about benefits, PTO, etc. So we have Pay and Benefits sections. We need to include Pay section only if posting actually states them. Yes, salary ranges given. So we createPay
with paragraphs detailing salary ranges. Benefits: includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid parental leave, disability, life insurance, stock units, PTO details, holidays, birthday, etc. So we createBenefits
with list. Schedule: Not explicitly mentioned. There's mention of vacation time, sick time, etc. That's more benefits. No explicit schedule like full-time, part-time, remote. So we should not create Schedule section. We also need to include maybe Qualifications and Skills sections. Minimum Requirements could be Requirements. Preferred Requirements could be Qualifications. Skills could be extracted from preferred requirements like stakeholder management, analytical, presentation, AI upskilling, etc. But we might combine. We must not create sections with filler text. So we need to ensure each section has substantive content. Let's outline:Application window expected to close on: 10/08/2026
About the role
Content is a key element of how Cisco's enterprise networking campaigns come to life and we're looking for a Senior Manager, Content Strategy to lead the team that creates it. This is a rare chance to build, not just maintain: to reimagine how content gets created in the age of AI, experiment with new formats, and create content buyers genuinely value —the kind that builds trust and drives our most important priorities as a result. You'll own the strategy and execution of demand-generating content across the funnel, from thought leadership reports to conversion and promotional assets. You'll partner with product marketing, sales, campaign strategists and planners, demand channel experts, and regional marketers to turn insights into content that addresses customer needs, stands out in a noisy market, and drives measurable engagement. You'll treat AI as an creative collaborator to move faster, think bigger, and continuously raise the bar, while guiding your team to leverage AI as a co-pilot throughout the content creation process.
