About the Role
Waga Energy is actively seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team in Miami, Florida. The Marketing & Communications Manager will work with internal teams, external design partners, industry organizations, event organizers, media contacts, and landfill partners to strengthen Waga Energy’s visibility, reputation, and market positioning in the United States. Reporting to the Public Affairs & Government Relations Director, the Marketing & Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of Waga Energy’s US marketing strategy in alignment with the company’s global objectives and US business development priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the US marketing strategy in alignment with global objectives and business development priorities.
- Plan, manage, and optimize digital marketing campaigns, including Google Ads and LinkedIn campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance, lead generation, engagement, and budget utilization.
- Develop and maintain a strategic US content calendar to ensure consistent messaging across digital, industry, and partner platforms.
- Coordinate outbound marketing initiatives, social media campaigns, and website updates with the corporate Marketing and Communications teams.
- Develop and maintain standard and customized company presentations.
- Design and format marketing and communication materials, including presentations, banners, cards, and event collateral.
- Coordinate content creation and graphic-design projects with external contractors.
- Develop thought-leadership materials, including US case studies, white papers, and content related to commissioned projects and emerging industry topics.
- Design, format, and distribute the company’s external US newsletter.
- Manage newsletter engagement analytics, audience growth, and subscription strategy.
- Coordinate Waga Energy’s participation in industry trade shows and conferences, including pre-event planning, logistics, promotional campaigns, and post-event follow-up.
- Identify and coordinate opportunities for team members to participate in conferences, speaking engagements, panels, and other industry events.
- Lead the planning and execution of project inaugurations, including agenda development, vendor coordination, logistics, and collateral production.
- Build and maintain relationships with US media contacts.
- Proactively identify interview opportunities and industry commentary placements.
- Prepare company spokespersons for media engagements.
- Review press releases and external communications for accuracy and alignment with company messaging.
- Conduct ongoing US market research and monitor competitors and developments within the energy, RNG, and waste sectors.
- Prepare biannual market-insight reports.
- Support business development activities through prospect research, AI-enabled intelligence tools, and targeted messaging initiatives.
- Partner closely with the Business Development team on marketing, research, presentations, and external-engagement initiatives.
- Support selected administrative and coordination activities for the Business Development team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in marketing, communications, or a comparable role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience developing marketing content and managing external communication initiatives.
- Experience coordinating conferences, trade shows, corporate events, or similar programs.
- Ability to manage marketing budgets and monitor campaign performance and KPIs.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, external partners, clients, vendors, and media contacts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering clear, accurate, and consistent communications.
