Marketing Communications Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and distribute press releases highlighting Firm news, achievements, and attorney successes.
  • Monitor media opportunities and identify ways to position attorneys as thought leaders and industry experts.
  • Track legal, business, and industry news to support media outreach and timely content development.
  • Create and manage content across the Firm's website, social media platforms, blogs, newsletters, and other marketing channels.
  • Support attorney profile-building efforts and ensure messaging aligns with the Firm's brand.
  • Review, edit, and approve social media content and publishing schedules.
  • Cook up and distribute practice group newsletters and client alerts.
  • Develop content related to attorney achievements, speaking engagements, awards, case successes, and Firm initiatives.
  • Manage internal communications, including Firmwide newsletters, announcements, events, and recognition programs.
  • Cook up attorney award nominations and industry recognition submissions.
  • Aid in major legal directory and ranking submissions, including Chambers USA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of communications, public relations, content marketing, or related experience within a law firm, professional services, or media environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Canva, or Photoshop is a plus.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with attorneys, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
