Marketing and Events Internship

About the role

This is a fall semester internship offering strong skills in organization, communication, and social media content creation, including quick videos and writing.

Responsibilities

• Aid in planning, implementing, and following up for all special events.
• Support fundraising programs as needed (securing in-kind donations, promotions, and other tasks).
• Coordinate volunteers.
• Assist with photography and video projects for the website and communication materials.
• Create short videos for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
• Manage social media content entry and scheduling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Studies in Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or Public Relations.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and good driving record.
• Pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
• Pass a BCI background check.
• Comply with regulatory standards governing program services, including appropriate trainings.
• Not registered as an offender on the ODDD Abuse and Neglect Register or the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Abuser Register.
• Positive communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Canva.
• Experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok).
• Experience with photography and video equipment, and the ability to develop videos for the website.

Pay and Benefits

• $16/hour
• College credit may be earned based on the school's policy.

Schedule

Day shift: Monday to Friday. Some evening or weekend hours may be required.
