Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with logistics and preparation for several in-person Outreach International fundraising and outreach events
- Support sponsorship planning and prospect research for upcoming events
- Conduct corporate giving prospect research to identify and qualify potential partners and donors
- Aid in creating supporting materials and fulfillment for a youth fundraising program during the holiday season
- Opportunity to participate in local networking events, gaining broader exposure to the Kansas City business community
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a relevant degree program (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, etc.)
- College student with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content
- Creative mindset with an understanding of social media platforms
- Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)
- Design experience with Canva and/or the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications is a plus
- Passion for nonprofit work
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation of $12/hour or class credit where applicable
- Hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, marketing, operations and project management
