About the role

The Market Sales Specialist (MSS) drives sales and supports customer growth in an assigned market, focusing on expanding sales and building relationships with car dealers and independent tire retailers. This role reports to the Regional Sales Leader and embodies TireHub’s core commitments: Approachable, Adventurous, Relentless, and Speedy.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for Car Dealers and Independent Tire Retailers within the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while prospecting and developing new business opportunities.
  • Provide comprehensive training to car dealership and program dealer associates on product knowledge, manufacturer programs, sales techniques, and tools.
  • Organize and lead sellout events, promotional activities, and training sessions.
  • Use consultative selling techniques to understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Manage and communicate manufacturer sales incentive programs to key decision-makers at Car Dealerships and Program Dealers.
  • Ensure administrative compliance, including customer enrollment and accurate record-keeping in CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with Product Assortment Managers to optimize local market inventory levels.
  • Support TLC expansions and new market launches.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, including TLC staff, Pricing, Shareholder contacts, Operations, Credit, and Accounts Receivable.
  • Track performance based on sales results, customer activations, year-over-year growth, margin performance, and other KPIs.
  • Adhere to TireHub policies, procedures, and guidelines, and complete ongoing training as assigned.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or equivalent preferred.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in the automotive or tire industry.

Skills

  • Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships, including with Car Dealers and Program Dealers.
  • Skilled in identifying customer needs and offering competitive solutions to drive business growth.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to administrative compliance and CRM record-keeping.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills for internal and external interactions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot sales, customer, or inventory challenges while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Deep understanding of TireHub’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Valid Driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience (3 years preferred; excludes learner’s permit time).

Preferred Skills

  • Proven experience achieving sales targets, preferably in the automotive or dealership industry.
  • In-depth understanding of automotive products and manufacturer programs.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and informative training on products and sales techniques.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent travel (up to 75%) within the assigned territory for customer meetings and in-person sales activities.
  • Works across various environments, including car dealerships, corporate offices, and client sites.
  • May involve physical activity during promotional events or training sessions (e.g., setting up display materials).
  • Standard office duties, including computer and CRM system use for administrative tasks and reporting.
