About the role

Marcus Gleysteen Architects is a nationally recognized residential firm headquartered in Deep River, CT. We run our small office as a collaborative studio – we enjoy open design discussions and knowledge sharing. Known for attention to detail and craftsmanship, our work reflects a sincere dedication and love for what we do. We are currently seeking a highly talented and driven Summer Design Intern to join our team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled/recently graduated from an accredited M.Arch program or a minimum of three years in a B.Arch program (or equivalent)
• Keen interest in custom residential architecture
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
• Demonstrated design and visualization ability
• Prior Architectural Office Experience (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

• Drafting and 3D modeling
• Project research
• Production of presentation and marketing materials
• Participation in design discussions and reviews
• Assistance with site documentation and occasional site visits
• General office support

Details

• Available in-office in Deep River, CT, or fully remote
• Approximately 10–12 weeks, beginning in late May or June 2026
• Compensated; rate is commensurate with experience
