Description
Making sure workers know what they need to know is what a Manufacturing Trainer does at Harvard Integration. This person creates training programs, from new hires to experienced staff, focusing on both general company info and specific skills. They teach using both hands-on and classroom methods, work closely with supervisors and managers to understand training needs, and help employees improve their skills.
- Conduct training sessions using hands-on and classroom techniques.
- Consult with supervisors, managers, and HR about training needs.
- Evaluate trainee performance and learning progress.
- Create an annual training program and teaching plans.
- Identify training needs by assessing strengths and weaknesses.
- Develop a schedule to address training needs.
- Translate requirements into relevant training materials.
- Attend offsite training events to support activities.
- Support safety and quality initiatives throughout the training program.
- Communicate effectively and lead teams.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements.
- Comfortable preparing and delivering presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly PowerPoint.
- Experience with best practices in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of trade tools and general mechanical aptitude.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
- Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead.
Physical Demands
- Extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work in extreme heat and cold temperatures.
- Reach and work overhead.
- Work at heights greater than ten feet.
- Work in tight spaces.
