Manufacturing Technician, Precision Machining, Optimus

What You'll Do

• Perform first piece inspections and/or first run for production process proofing
• Aim, assess, and debug gauge repeatability reproducibility, and routine inspection and preventative maintenance of production CNC
• Fixtures
• Setup and maintain CNC production cutting tools
• Start and Re-start of production CNC machines after maintenance activities
• Change production CNC fixtures to meet production build plans and ensure the correct CNC program is running on the CNC machine
• Work with Production Leads and Engineering in debugging issues in machining processes
• Recover and trouble shoot automation equipment attached to CNC equipment

What You'll Bring

• A good understanding of GD&T
• Understanding of CNC programming software
• Mechanical abilities with attention to details
• Command of the English language, both written and verbal

Essential Physical Demands

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
• Frequent and repetitive lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
• Frequent and repetitive bending, lifting, reaching to install parts
• Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, or other high structures
• Find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
• Potential exposure to confined spaces, elevated heat, and hazardous materials
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, arm protection, hearing protection, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines

Pay

• Expected Compensation: $25.88 - $28.80/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
• The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
