Manufacturing Technician C - Weekend B Shift 1

About the role

The Manufacturing Technician C position is within the Missle Solutions segment of L3Harris Technologies, an industry leader in missile components for national defense.

Responsibilities

• Full scale propellant mixing – Prepares materials and performs full-scale mixing for all production programs, confirming acceptable weights prior to releasing the materials to casting operations.
• Perform mathematical calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, to create acceptable mixes for casting, and use process data to fill out manufacturing data sheets.
• Grinding – Assemble grinders and grind materials for full-scale propellant mixes and weigh material bins to correct weight for propellant mixing.
• Other duties as assigned – Such as but not limited to: AP prep for grinding, bowl plugging for mixing, prototype motor casting, development sample preparation, and support of new production initiatives and schedules.

Requirements

• 50% - Full scale propellant mixing
• 10% - Mathematical calculations
• 35% - Grinding
• 5% - Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Skills

• Ability to obtain an US security clearance
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to follow safety practices
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly
• Ability to work with management, supervisor or lead personnel to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
