Manufacturing Technician B - Weekend A Shift 1

About the role

L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. The position involves full-scale propellant mixing, mathematical calculations, grinding, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Full scale propellant mixing – Prepares materials and performs full-scale mixing for all production programs, confirming acceptable weights prior to releasing the materials to casting operations.
• Perform mathematical calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, to create acceptable mixes for casting, and use process data to fill out manufacturing data sheets.
• Grinding – Assemble grinders and grind materials for full-scale propellant mixes, weigh material bins to correct weight for propellant mixing, disassemble, clean, and re-assemble full-scale grinding equipment.
• Other duties as assigned – Such as AP prep for grinding, bowl plugging for mixing, prototype motor casting, development sample preparation, and support of new production initiatives and schedules.

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associates degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• Preferred additional skills include obtaining an US security clearance, understanding and following written and oral instructions, establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships, performing mathematical calculations accurately and quickly, and working with management, supervisor or lead personnel to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.

Qualifications

• Able to work from elevated platforms, ascend ladders, and transport 35 lbs. repetitively.
• Medically cleared to wear a respirator and operate powered industrial vehicle (and obtain company issued license as appropriate).
