About the role

The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Machinist C to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates piece parts per work instructions, drawings and specifications through the use of required machine tools.
• Inspects piece parts per work instruction and drawing requirements.
• Operates machine tools.
• Makes recommendations concerning use of and improvement upon materials and design.
• May include work with fabrication, sheet metal operations, or machine hardware and assemblies.
• Works weekends and off-hour shifts to maintain schedule.
• Uses, adjusts, cleans and stores the tools, machinery and equipment used.
• Keeps records and reports of the use of equipment.
• Makes estimates of the time and materials required to complete an assignment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Preferred Additional Skills: Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology a plus, Manual/CNC experience is preferred, Familiarization of machine tools and equipment, machine shop procedures and practices, principals and properties desired, Knowledge of basic mathematic principles to solve problems is preferred, Ability to work in a team environment and relate to all levels of employees is desired, Have a valid driver's license preferred, Ability to read and understand blueprints is preferred, Ability to work flexible schedule is desired.

Schedule

Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week.
