Manufacturing Technician C - Weekend A Shift 1

About the role

The Manufacturing Technician C position is within the Missle Solutions segment of L3Harris Technologies, an industry-leading supplier of missile components to the government for national defense.

Responsibilities

• Full scale propellant mixing – Prepares materials and performs full-scale mixing for all production programs, confirming acceptable weights prior to releasing the materials to casting operations.
• Perform mathematical calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, to create acceptable mixes for casting, and use process data to fill out manufacturing data sheets.
• Grinding – Assemble grinders and grind materials for full-scale propellant mixes, weigh material bins to correct weight for propellant mixing, and disassemble, clean, and re-assemble full-scale grinding equipment.
• Other duties as assigned – Such as AP prep for grinding, bowl plugging for mixing, prototype motor casting, development sample preparation, and support of new production initiatives and schedules.

Requirements

• Willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
• Able to work from elevated platforms, ascend ladders, and transport 35 lbs. repetitively.
• Medically cleared to wear a respirator and operate powered industrial vehicle (and obtain company issued license as appropriate).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

• Ability to obtain an US security clearance.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to follow safety practices.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with the work team and those contacted in the course of work.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and quickly.
• Ability to work with management, supervisor or lead personnel to prioritize work and meet critical deadlines.
