Manufacturing Technician

Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, designs and manufactures custom inductive components for industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, TX, and Xiamen, China.

About the role

This position is responsible for assembling small to large electronic components from drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Wind wire and foil
• Solder wire and braze copper foil
• Repair or replace defective components
• Apply insulation and connect wiring
• Test electrical parts and components
• Perform cycle counts of component and finished parts

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Industrial Automation Technology, or equivalent experience
• Soldering and brazing experience
• IPC certification (desired)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong attention to detail when assembling and testing electronic components
