Manufacturing Technician

This position is based at our Components location in Beatrice, Nebraska.

About the role

The Manufacturing Technician will provide technical support to manufacturing associates to maximize production efficiencies while maintaining quality and machine utilization. This role reports to the Manufacturing Superintendent and requires alignment with Neapco’s Core Values of Partnership, Passion, Agility, Teamwork, Integrity, and Diversity, as well as Neapco’s Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility goals.

Up to $2,000 welcome bonus. Pay up to $26.14 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Effectively set up and operate manufacturing equipment.
• Work from operational prints to set up machines and make necessary adjustments to maintain acceptable tolerances.
• Use gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure product accuracy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reporting discrepancies or concerns.
• Perform control plan requirements, including sign-off of “first piece” articles.
• Troubleshoot and correct machine setup problems.
• Perform operator preventative maintenance, including maintaining coolant levels and lubrication.
• Maintain written and electronic process/labor documentation.
• Work extra hours to meet production needs if necessary.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities in the work cell.
• Read blueprints and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; vocational or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing, machine setup, machining, CNC operation, or related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated reliability through consistent attendance, strong work performance, and commitment to previous employers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Physical Requirements

• Physical dexterity and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds from floor level.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to participate in job rotation assignments.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
