Manufacturing Technician

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate all department equipment, quality checks, and preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP) and follow production guidelines/specifications.
• Follows established guidelines for safe material handling and protective gear.
• Adheres to environmental, health and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean workspace and production floor.
• When applicable, create or download job programs to run jobs on machines.
• Read, interpret and maintain required records of production activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• A high school diploma, GED or equivalent, Vocational Training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing work experience preferred.
• Must have hands-on / mechanical aptitude / trade (e.g. farming, construction, auto repair, machining, woodworking, etc.).

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• This is a hands-on role spent on the production floor in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• The role requires standing, walking, bending, leaning, reaching, and sitting for extended periods, as well as the use of standard office equipment.
• Flexibility in schedule, including occasional extended hours, may be necessary to support production demands.
• Work involves exposure to chemicals, fumes, noise, and manufacturing materials.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, protective clothing, and respiratory protection, is required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks.
• The ability to wear required respiratory protection is an essential function of the role.
• The position may require lifting up to 44 pounds (20 kg), a high level of manual dexterity, the ability to safely operate factory machines & equipment, and use software to run computer-operated machinery.
