Job Title: Reagent Manufacturing Technician Industry: Biotechnology Location: Bedford, MA Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM 3:30 PM, plus a rotating weekend schedule once trained Client Overview Our client is a global materials science manufacturer with more than 170 years of history and a spot on the Fortune 500. This role is in its life sciences business in Bedford. The team there makes cell culture reagents that research labs and drug developers around the world rely on. Top 3 Skills Buffer preparation and production run setup Lab separation methods: centrifugation, extraction, filtration, and dialysis Working in cleanrooms and cold rooms under defined procedures What You ll Do Make buffers and set up production runs Manufacture a cell culture matrix reagent using centrifugation, buffer extractions, filtration, and dialysis Work in cleanrooms, general lab space, and cold rooms from 2 C down to minus 20 C, with the required PPE for each area Record production transactions in an ERP system Work with Quality Assurance to flag and resolve nonconformance issues Cross-train across reagent processes and become multi-skilled Take part in the weekend rotation that keeps the production cycle running for the coming week What We Need From You High school diploma or higher Hands-on experience using lab equipment and tools Ability to work in cold rooms down to minus 20 C, frequently lift up to 50 lbs, and handle hazardous materials in a controlled environment with the required PPE Availability for the early day shift and mandatory rotating weekends once trained Ability to work 100 percent onsite in Bedford Preferred / Bonus 1 to 3 years in biotechnology, a laboratory, or a life sciences environment Cleanroom gowning experience ERP system experience 5S and lean manufacturing knowledge
