Manufacturing Technician

Kinetix Inspection Technologies is the leading manufacturer of vision-based automatic wayside inspection systems for the railroad industry. The company has pioneered innovative products using sophisticated machine vision and non-contact measurement technologies to assess railcar components and track safety conditions. Based in Norcross, GA, Kinetix maintains an extensive R&D program to develop advanced systems for monitoring critical components of freight and passenger cars, bogies, locomotives, and track.

About the role

In this role, you will support production and provide maintenance for Kinetix Inspection Technologies products within the production facility and at deployed locations.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical electrical/mechanical knowledge to assembly, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for deployed systems.
• Conduct electrical circuit hardware as well as mechanical component testing and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation for new or ongoing maintenance and related activities.
• Maintain technical coordination with product design, testing, and manufacturing.
• Work with other engineering, IT, manufacturing, and quality assurance staff to coordinate assembly/repair projects.
• Resolve or provide feedback on existing processes.
• Provide support to factory/customer support.
• Crate and ship finished goods.

Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of relevant technician or repair work experience.
• Experience in assembly, repair, and maintenance.
• Technical school degree preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with multimeters for testing purposes.

• Ability to work independently as well as closely with others in a small team as the situation requires.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $21.00 – $23.00 per hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.
