As an ABEC Manufacturing Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in assembling and fabricating high-quality mechanical systems using cutting-edge equipment. What You’ll Do Fabricate and assemble equipment with precision, accuracy, and efficiencyWork with a variety of hand tools, fabrication equipment, and measuring devicesPerform stainless steel fabrication including:Tube cuttingGrindingPolishingBendingAssemblyInstall and maintain utility and service linesCross train in a Cleanroom environment Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Guidelines (GDLs)Ensure all work meets quality standards - right the first timeComplete build documentation clearly and accuratelyWork in cleanroom environments while adhering to strict proceduresOperate overhead cranes and/or forklifts (as needed)Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspaceSupport and drive continuous improvement initiativesTravel when required to support projects or training Requirements What You Need to Bring 1–2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical or fabrication work, or a cleanroom Comfortable using hand tools and basic fabrication equipmentAbility to read a tape measure and perform basic mathBasic understanding of blueprintsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform active workWillingness to wear required PPE and cleanroom gearSelf-motivated with a strong work ethicCommitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment Nice To Have (Not Required) Trade qualifications (Pipefitter, Plumber, Mechanic)Experience with stainless steel welding and polishingCleanroom experienceExperience working with quality documentation and auditsKnowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI), Lean, or Six Sigma Company Background For over 50 years, ABEC has been a leading supplier to the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
