Manufacturing/Quality Intern

About the Role

Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Manufacturing/Quality Intern to work in our Huntsville, AL site for the fall season (from roughly end of September to mid December). This is an exciting opportunity to use a student's education and gain practical experience working with a cross-functional team to understand processes and data. The individual is expected to work between 12-20 hours per week. The project focus will be implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) and inspection gage reviews in the HSV Manufacturing Machining Facility.

Responsibilities

• Ability to use the MS Office suite of software
• Perform analytical analysis
• Status Management weekly on progress, issues & recommendations
• Write project ending report (task, findings, results, etc)
• Work with a variety of organizations to understand processes & outputs in a teaming work environment

Basic Qualifications

• Active College student at an accredited University pursuing in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering bachelor's in science
• Minimum of 2 years completed with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must provide own housing and meals. No relocation provided

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to understand & use CAD software
• Basic understanding of Statistical Process Controls (SPC)

$48,100.00 - $86,950.00
