Manufacturing Intern

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects including, but not limited to, changeover reduction, 5S, Pareto Analysis, time study, value stream mapping, standardized work, and optimization of workflows
• Lead or support kaizen events
• Apply Statistical Process Control and Process Control Systems
• Use basic project management skills
• Troubleshoot maintenance and reliability issues
• Learn the basics of pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging processing and equipment including dispensing, mixing, wet granulation, tablet compression, coating, and tablet printing
• Review equipment specifications
• Collect and analyze data to make decisions
• Work with non-union plant personnel and possibly external vendors to implement solutions

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline
• Must have completed at least one year of a Bachelor’s degree program
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Experience with data analysis and root cause analysis
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently on multiple projects under tight timelines
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Excel Pivot Tables
• Basic understanding of Process Control Systems and production floor automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior engineering internship or co-op experience in a pharmaceutical company in an engineering or data science–related role

Pay

Employees can expect a salary approximately between $24.00 and $43.25 per hour. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
