Responsibilities
- Maintain robotic paint processes in the Paint department.
- Maintain procedures and equipment to improve efficiency and first time yield capability.
- Drive continuous improvement actions.
- Work with Paint Supervisor and Process Engineer on process and engineering changes.
- Participate in Corrective Action Plan development, implementation, and follow-up as quality problems occur.
- Evaluate and improve techniques to reduce downtime and improve the life of equipment.
- Document all activities as required.
- Provide support and maintain compliance with all company guidelines, union contracts, TS16949, ISO14001, and all applicable government regulations and standards.
- Perform robot adjustments as needed to improve quality of parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs to robots and paint system as needed.
- Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a well-rounded background in injection molding.
Skills
- Knowledge of customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Understanding of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture.
- Familiarity with paint processes and tooling, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of paint viscosity in relation to paint reduction with different types of reducing solvents.
- Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production.
- Use of computers, preferably in a GUI or PC, Windows-based operating environment.
- Ability to organize resources and establish priorities.
- Support management in implementing short and long-term goals.
- Track production OEE through measuring first time quality, utilization, and efficiency.
- Determine the kinds of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Maintain systems necessary to collect, maintain, and analyze data.
- Identify problems and help implement solutions.
- Maintain processes that meet production targets and customer quality requirements.
- Work in a team environment.
Physical Demands
- Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Ability to work in both non-climate controlled manufacturing and office environments.
- Upper body mobility required, along with the physical requirements of lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling.
- Must be able to stand 90% of the time with frequent walking.
- Lift using one or two hands up to 90 lbs.
- Occasional use of forceful abilities from 1 to 30 pounds during the duration of the shift.
