About the role
Join a high-impact manufacturing team supporting the production of industrial electric motors and rotating equipment. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving production processes, driving efficiency, and supporting new product introductions within a fast-paced motor plant environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on hands-on problem solving, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration—and wants to directly influence how products are built, scaled, and optimized on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Process Development & Optimization
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and production methods
- Analyze product design, materials, tooling, and equipment capabilities to ensure efficient production
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean, efficiency, cost reduction, throughput increases)
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve cycle times and output
- Production Support & Execution
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to manufacturing operations in the motor plant
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Support assembly, machining, and fabrication processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Develop and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, and routing updates
- Facility Layout & Workcell Design
- Analyze workforce utilization, workflow, and space requirements
- Design and optimize production layouts, workcells, and equipment placement
- Develop and implement tooling, fixtures, lifting devices, and ergonomic solutions
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Partner with engineering and R&D teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable and scalable
- Support the launch of new products into production with efficient processes
- Cost & Capacity Planning
- Estimate production times, labor requirements, and manufacturing costs
- Support capacity planning and staffing models
- Provide data-driven insights for management decision-making
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams
- Interface with vendors to define product specifications, tooling, and equipment needs
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and support procurement decisions
- Safety & Compliance
- Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify and reduce safety risks and hazards
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and plant policies
- Leadership & Development
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in: Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Industrial Engineering (BSIE), or related field
- 5–10 years of manufacturing engineering experience in an industrial environment
- Experience supporting production, process improvement, and manufacturing operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Pay
- $70,000 - $90,000 annually
