Manufacturing Engineer II

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Redesign/modify components/systems as required to ensure long-term manufacturing reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolution of customer complaints where engineering support is required.
• Provide Engineering support and leadership to address product quality issues in the manufacturing process.
• Maintain/improve existing product designs in support of Manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate with internal tooling and/or automation engineers to create/ensure the ability to manufacture products on a production scale.
• Coordinate activities within the Manufacturing Engineering department to ensure product/ samples are produced that meet the component/assembly specifications.
• Create/modify Bill of Materials (BOM)’s/Engineering Masters required for production of product.
• Create/modify Quality Control (QC) Inspection Procedure work instructions used to monitor component and assembly quality during manufacturing.
• Design any tests and fixtures required for this purpose.
• Maintain and improve existing product designs.
• Ensure that engineering documentation is appropriately maintained and controlled according to ISO practices.
• P practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Undergraduate Engineering degree required, preferably Plastics and/or Mechanical.
• 3-5 years experience in production support/product design role primarily with injection molded parts and assemblies.
• Must be fluent in 3D Modeling of parts and assemblies.

Preferred Requirements

• Knowledge of injection molding process and tool design as it relates to part design for manufacturability preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under deadlines.
• Ability to effectively present ideas and concepts to top management and to implement ideas that improve the process.
