Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficient operations, improve cost, yield, productivity, and reduce waste, scrap, and downtime.
- Use data analytics techniques to identify areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate product quality using stereo microscopes or other test equipment to verify operator workmanship or determine the root cause of process or yield issues.
- Diagnose process and equipment issues and work with maintenance teams to keep equipment running optimally.
- Analyze, optimize, or develop visual and test equipment/methods for the evaluation of electro-optical devices.
- Interface with external customers regarding testing methodology.
- Work with and train bargaining-unit employees to improve work processes and product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, preferably Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
- Strong analytical abilities and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to perform self-directed work as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing electrical test methods.
- Experience with Visual Studio programming languages (C, C++, C#, VB, Python).
