Core Responsibilities
- Oversight of engineering support activities for customer parts and assemblies
- Planning, organizing, and directing internal/external services and design activities to meet timelines and budget constraints
- Ensuring compliance with customer, organizational, and governmental regulations for manufacturing processes and tooling
- Implementing and maintaining process controls
- Ensuring high-quality and cost-effective part production
- Investigating, analyzing, and providing solutions to process and product non-conformance issues
- Developing statistical systems like trend analysis/SPC for data and specification control
- Assisting in responding to customer Request for Quotes (RFQs)
- Collaborating with sales, manufacturing, and quality to address technical needs
- Developing and revising manufacturing processes to enhance production effectiveness
- Supporting company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Working with the Engineering Manager on policy and procedure implementation
Qualifications
- 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience, with preference in basic manufacturing operations, machining, forming, welding, brazing, and heat treat
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference in the aerospace industry
- Experience outlining manufacturing processes for parts and assemblies and providing work instructions to manufacturing
- Leverage of lean manufacturing principles
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards
- Expertise with computer systems and basic software, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with CAD
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization, including internal and external stakeholders
